Soccer Shots is an elective program offered to children ages 3-8 that meets once a week at daycare centers and preschools throughout Houston for 30- to 40-minute sessions. All Soccer Shots instructors are energetic and enthusiastic, great teachers, and love working with children. The instructors not only teach soccer skills, but also work on improving balance, coordination, and agility with the kids. Soccer Shots also uses the sessions to teach children important concepts such as teamwork, sharing, and respect.

2010 Season Schedule

Winter Session:
8 weeks (January- February)

Spring Session:
10 weeks (March-May)

Summer Session:
8 weeks (June-August)

Fall Session:
10 weeks (September-November)

Leadership:
A native Houstonian, Alex Woods graduated from The Kinkaid School and went on to earn a B.S. in Business at Trinity University in San Antonio. His Junior year he helped lead the Tigers men's soccer team to a National Championship and would earn First Team All-American honors his senior year. Alex then moved to Dallas to play a season in Major League Soccer for FC Dallas, and he currently plays with the Charlotte Eagles of United Soccer League Second Division. Alex is passionate about coaching and teaching kids of all ages. He is excited for the opportunity to serve and give back to the youth of his native city.

Instructors:
Soccer Shots' outstanding crew of instructors consists of local professional soccer players, local college soccer players, and other highly qualified and motivated soccer coaches. Their #1 goal is to ensure your child is having a good and safe time while learning basic soccer skills, teamwork, and fair play.
