Local Leadership: Ryan Murphy grew up in a sports family. His father was a baseball and basketball player and his younger brothers settled on football, basketball and hockey. So naturally he chose to play soccer. He has been involved with soccer in some fit, form or fashion, either as a player, coach, official or parent for the last 26 years. After attending high school in St. Augustine, Ryan chose to attend Texas A&M University on a Navy ROTC scholarship. It was while attending TAMU that Ryan eventually met his business partner (oh, and wife), Kristi. After graduating college and being commissioned in the Navy, Ryan and Kristi started their family and didn't look back. They now have three great children, Connor, Mackenzie and Saoirse. For the past ten years, Ryan has served in the US NAVY as a Submarine Officer and Kristi has worked as a mechanical and biomedical engineer. Kristi and Ryan decided a change of pace was in order for their family and in 2009 started a Soccer Shots franchise in North East Florida.


Head Coach: Sean Stern
A native of Texas, Sean Stern joined the Soccer Shots team in December of 2009. In addition to his coaching duties with Soccer Shots, Sean serves as the Director of Operations for PURE FC Soccer, specializing in elite soccer training.

Prior to joining PURE FC, Stern coached at Ponte Vedra Soccer Club and oversaw the club-wide Speed & Strength training program. Before Ponte Vedra Soccer Club, Stern served as an Associate Head Coach under Steve Allan for Men’s & Women’s soccer at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. While in West Texas, Stern also served as the Director of Coaching for the Abilene Soccer Club and Recreational Coordinator for the Big Country Soccer Association.

Stern led McMurry University to a #11 national ranking while recruiting and coaching 9 All-ASC players, 2 ASC Offensive Players of the Year, 1 ASC Defensive Player of the Year, 3 NSCAA All-Region players, and 2 NSCAA All-Americans.

Over the past 10 years, Stern has coached and developed a countless number of players in Texas, Arkansas, and Florida to successful careers at the collegiate level, including 4 players who have since graduated to the professional ranks in North American & Europe. Stern has served as a Staff Coach and Camp Coordinator with the NTSSA and ASSA Olympic Development Programs as well as a Staff Coach and Camp Director for numerous Soccer and Athletic Development Camps.

Stern graduated with a BS in Exercise & Sports Science from McMurry University and holds an NSCCA Advanced Diploma, a USSF National D License, an English FA Child Psychology Certificate Level 1, an NSCAA/English FA Sports Psychology Certificate, and is a Level 1 Youth Fitness Specialist through the IYCA.

Instructors: Soccer Shots' outstanding crew of instructors consists of former professional soccer players, local college soccer players and other highly qualified and motivated soccer coaches. Their #1 goal is to make sure your child is having fun, being safe, and learning basic soccer skills, teamwork, and fair play.
